Ways of Perceiving.

Does it really matter who the next president will be? The way I perceive it he or she will flounder around trying to find ways of getting pet projects past the dragons at the door then will retreat to damage control. We might end up with a few more people getting subsidized medical care while another powerless sector lose theirs. We might pull a few people out of Iraq or we might send a few more in.
Meanwhile black toothed children sit in unheated trailer-houses watching TV while their mothers work as aides in hospitals which would never admit their own employees without the health insurance which they won't provide.
And even the rich are driving on overpasses that are about to collapse, past dams that are about to burst and over bridges that are about to fall not to mention levees on their last legs so to speak. Infra-structure isn't sexy. But there's money to be made and you don't need to do it right either. Heads up Bechtel.
I heard somewhere that most Democrats would like to see the changes that Dennis Kucinich advocates. But what hope would he have had against all the special interests so aggressively guarding their own gates? Say 'socialized medicine' in a crowded room and watch everyone run for cover even though that is what we simply need.

OK I'm through ranting. I have gone back to college to study the stuff I couldn't when my hours were filled with hard hard science. Now I study photography and art. I got told off today for doing graphics, not art. Art is shaky lines. Graphics is straight lines. That's what I learned today. I did not know this. I am also learning about traditional film b&w photography. After taking pictures for nearly sixty years I am actually gaining a little understanding. A little late since I am a dedicated digitalist, but film photography is so fine!
