We were going hiking on the OSHA trail near Cloudcroft yesterday.  When we got up there a cloudburst was happening so we went into Cloudcroft and had a coffee and croissant.  The rain stopped and though the trail was muddy it was doable.  Chris had birdsongs on his phone.  He thought he recognized an orange crowned warbler(?).  He pulled the song up on the phone and the real orange crowned warbler and the one on his phone started up a conversation.  A lovely moment and proof that technology has its place!
